During the Fall 2021 semester, the Faculty Support Network (FSN) launched their new website, This new campus-wide initiative will offer a single location where instructors can go to find out more about professional development opportunities that are being offered campus-wide. Please take a moment to check this new resource out and share it with your peers.
Use UNCG GoLinks to create shortened branded links
What are you using to shorten and create custom URL’s to your content? Did you know that UNCG offers a branded option for you to create randomized, shorten links or custom links that point to destinations on the web.
Consider using UNCG GoLinks the next time you want to shorten a long URL. Not only will your link be branded, but you can update your GoLink targets to point to the most up-to-date information without fear of your links breaking. There are also stats available to you, so that you can see how many people are using your GoLinks.
Designing Effective Online Courses (DEOC) Workshop
Over 3,000 of your colleagues from all 17 UNC institutions have completed the Designing Effective Online Courses (DEOC) Workshop. There are two and four week pacing options for the workshop in order to provide flexibility for individual schedules. Individuals who complete the entire program will receive a certificate of completion. For those interested in only certain topics covered in the workshop, it is permissible to participate only in those sections.

Apply to be an Online Teaching Fellow for UNCG!
The UNCG Online Learning Faculty Senate Committee is organizing the first cohort of a new fellowship. The Online Teaching Fellows opportunity at UNC Greensboro (UNCG) is appointed initially by the Online Learning Faculty Senate Committee per an application process. Online Teaching Fellows enhance the Faculty Support Network at UNCG by providing on-going support and mentorship for UNC Greensboro faculty and staff who are teaching in online and hybrid environments. The Online Teaching Fellows also assist their peers who are transitioning their face-to-face courses to an online course. For best consideration, please apply by Friday, October 8th.
