Did you know that after the last day of the semester, students are switched in Canvas courses to have read-only access?

This means that students can access the course but they will only be able to see grades and comments provided in SpeedGrader. They can see feedback as long as it is not tied to specific questions within Quizzes but Quiz question will no longer be accessible.

Consider reminding your students, who may want access to course materials to download them prior to the last day of the semester.

This FREE virtual conference is open to UNC Greensboro faculty, staff, and graduate students.

  • Join us, as we consider how we can create connections and humanize learning in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and hyflex environments.
  • Come prepared to reimagine what’s possible for teaching and research as we explore the use of technology to support and enhance our activities and goals.
  • And, as we continue to adapt what we do, we will spotlight equity, diversity, and inclusion practices essential to our mission and values.

UNCG faculty members who attend multiple sessions during the conference and submit reflections can potentially earn continuing education credit towards the Procedures for Professional Development and Support for Online Instructors. More information will be provided as we get closer to the Conference.

Please see the important message below from Information Technology Services (ITS) that pertains to all faculty and staff as they move toward their new multi-factor authentication service, Microsoft Azure Multi-factor Authentication (Azure MFA).

Registering for Azure MFA begins May 12, 2021, and will be required on May 26, 2021. All faculty and staff who log into applications like Gmail and Banner will be prompted to register for MFA.

UNCG faculty and staff who have questions or concerns are encouraged to register for one or more Azure MFA townhalls. In these sessions, Azure MFA project team leaders will demonstrate the registration processes, explain how—and why—Azure MFA is used, and answer questions about the service. Townhall attendees are encouraged to submit questions prior to their townhall date(s) so that tech leaders may prepare the most helpful answers and develop adequate documentation to meet their needs.
