The ACUE program has been an essential tool in UNCG’s broader response to the evolving needs of our students and celebrating our campus culture of teaching excellence. Our next offering of ACUE teaching micros and the Fostering a Culture of Belonging (FCB) course will begin in late January 2024.
- ACUE Teaching Courses: ACUE teaching micros are seven-week courses that introduce effective teaching strategies and highlight the benefits of reflective teaching practice. Complete all four courses to receive the American Council of Education (ACE) Certificate in Effective College Teaching.
- Fostering a Culture of Belonging: FCB is open to faculty, staff, and Graduate Teaching Associates. The course is organized around job function pathways allowing you to explore areas of inclusive engagement through your campus role. The course aims to equip participants with skills for navigating inclusion and diversity in your work and as a member of UNCG’s community.
Contact Laura Pipe ([email protected]) directly if you would like to register for any of the January offerings, ask any questions, or receive additional information. Your participation in these programs is not just an investment in your professional growth but also a significant contribution to UNCG. To thank faculty and staff who have completed the ACUE micros, the Provost is providing participants with a $250 professional development stipend per completed micro course to be used prior to the end of this academic year. We look forward to seeing you enrich your teaching experience with ACUE’s offerings.
