Did you see the recent message from ITS about the Microsoft 365 migration?

Information Technology Services (ITS) invites you to become an early adopter as we migrate to Microsoft 365. Being an early adopter means that you get first looks at what M365 offers. However, we don’t have all of the details of how it will work at UNCG finalized. We ask for your help to make sure we get it right and for your understanding as we learn about M365 along with you.

  1. Attend a Microsoft 365 Workshop
  2. If you are interesting in manually moving your files from Box and Google Drive and organize them on OneDrive and Teams , we have been given the “all-clear” but this is not a requirement and you can just wait for further assistance with this process. If you handle sensitive information, review Sensitivity Labels for information on how to tag sensitive files for additional security. Additional tools will be released this spring to facilitate an “as is” move from Google Drive if you prefer to wait.
  3. The Teams platform has officially been open for campus meetings. To create Teams meetings from your Google calendar (for now), Install the Teams meeting add-on for Google Workspace.

By popular demand, we’ve also gathered information and resources for you to start creating Microsoft Forms.

More training and guidance coming soon!

6-TECH is working hard to add support for all of your Microsoft 365 questions. For now, we ask that you submit questions to the Technology Initiatives website, and we will add them to our FAQs to be answered as soon as we know.
