Please see the message below from Sam Harlow, Online Learning Librarian.
“I wanted to note some new UNCG Libraries Research Tutorials that have been published recently, on the website and in Canvas Commons:
- Informed Voting
- Evaluating Sources: Lateral Reading and SIFT
- Evaluating Health Information
- Understanding Different Source Types
- Grey Literature
There should also be one on “Newspapers” coming out soon, so ask your liaison librarian or check the main page for updates. We also developed Credit Tutorials for each citation style in the platform (APA, MLA, and Chicago) so that students can get a certificate on individual citation styles. Please remember that students need to login and complete a whole tutorial to receive a certificate through the online website platform, but you can have students get Quiz credit in your Canvas course if you’re using the Canvas Commons module.
As always, please let your liaison librarian or me know if you need any help with these research tutorials or integrating the library in Canvas or anything related to research and information literacy in your areas!”
